The Female Gaze

PROJECT

The Female Gaze is dedicated to

elevating art made by women so that

all people can see and appreciate true

female power and beauty.

At The Female Gaze, our mission is to increase the visibility of woman artist who are underrepresented digitally and in all cultural institutions. An example , “Only 4% of the art acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston between 2008-2018 was by women, 3,788 by women to 90, 215 by men.” NYT 9/19/2019.

We plan to showcase and promote women artist to reveal how we see ourselves and how we see the world around us.

This isn’t just art.
This is a movement.

Art Exhibitions

Immerse yourself in the creativity of women artists. Our exhibitions, both virtual and in-person, bring their powerful stories and talent to the forefront, redefining what art looks like through the female gaze.

Workshops

Empowerment through connection and growth. Our workshops provide women with tools, guidance and opportunities to express themselves through art.

Advocacy

Champion the female gaze. Through campaigns and partnerships, we address the systemic underrepresentation of female artists and their art in all sectors of business and society.

This video sparked The Female Gaze Project—a vision of thousands of female artists coming together virtually to share how we see ourselves and the world. Special thanks to Jessica Kizorek for creating this video for my presentation at the Badass Business Women’s Conference in Miami, FL, 2023.
